Derek Papegnies is a farm boy, originally from Wawanesa, MB. He obtained a
Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba in 2000 and then
graduated with a Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo in
2005. Dr. Papegnies practiced in Brandon for 6 years at Total Eye Care
following graduation. Dr. Papegnies joined Dr. Perkin's practice in 2012
and took over in 2015.

Dr. Papegnies sits on the Board of Examiners for the Manitoba Association
of Optometrists. When not helping patients, Derek spends most of his time
on the curling ice, both as a recreational player and as a Curl Manitoba
umpire at provincial playoffs. In the summer he enjoys the odd game of
golf and softball.
